Galatea is an online publication tool developed by the arts
faculty of the K.U.
Leuven (Belgium). The aim of this joint effort is to provide professors
and students with an easy to use platform for making online publications.
Technically, galatea has been programmed in macromedia
coldfusion
and since version II it has been modularized according to the open source
methodology fusebox.
Since Mai 2001, the Formation
Continue of the Toulouse university-Le-Mirail has constructed
a testsite with their implementation
of the Galatea platform (see screenshot left). From January 2001 onwards
it will be used as a fully-fledged intranet application with entire
curriculae based on Galatea technology.
